Lou has been an integral part of our community for over 50 years, contributing tirelessly as a volunteer, mentor and leader. His unwavering commitment to people, sport and community development has positively shaped countless lives across Parramatta.
This nomination is a fitting recognition of Lou’s lifelong dedication, generosity of spirit and the lasting impact he continues to make within our city.

"Lou Mantzos has made a lasting impact on the Parramatta community through his dedication to and inclusive participation. A long-standing volunteer and leader with Parramatta City Football Club and Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association. Lou strengthened junior development programs and pathways whilst building strong connections with local schools and families.
His initiatives promote fairness, respect and teamwork, creating a welcoming and harmonious environment for players of all ages and abilities.
Lou’s leadership has fostered collaboration, volunteer engagement, and player wellbeing, ensuring football remains accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Residing in the Parramatta LGA, Lou continues to coach and mentor young kids through his voluntary work with The Smith Family as well as young athletes.
He supports volunteers, and inspires community pride through sport.
His calm leadership and genuine care for people have earned him widespread respect in the community, leaving a legacy of participation, inclusion, and community spirit that will benefit future generations. "

Coaching Appointment - Over 45's
Coaching Appointment – Over 45 Men’s Div 1 2026 Paul is a well respected member and player of our club, with a long involvement as a player and a strong roots of the Over 45 competition.
His experience, knowledge of the game and commitment make him a great fit to lead the team into 2026.
We are extremely confident Paul will continue to foster a positive, competitive and enjoyable environment for our Over 45's while representing the values of Parramatta City FC with pride.

Coaching Appointment – Over 55 Men’s Div 1 2026 Theo is an experienced and respected member of our club, with a long involvement as a player and a strong understanding of the Over 55 competition.
His experience, knowledge of the game and commitment make him a great fit to lead the team into 2026.
We are confident Theo will continue to foster a positive, competitive and enjoyable environment for our players while representing the values of Parramatta City FC with pride.

Coaching Appointment - All Age Mens
Coaching Appointment – All Age Men 2026 Con is a long-standing and deeply respected member of our club, having contributed over many years as an executive member, coach, team manager and player. His commitment, loyalty and passion for Parramatta City FC truly embody the values of our club.
With a strong understanding of our culture, players and community, Con brings experience, leadership and a genuine care for player development and team unity. We are confident he will provide a positive and competitive environment for our All Age Men as we head into 2026.

DIRECTOR OF COACHING Appointment
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT - DIRECTOR of COACHING Chris Hatzileris is a football AFC licensed coach and performance analyst with years of experience across grassroots, academy, and elite youth football in Australia. His journey spans park football through to NPL environments, combining hands on coaching with modern performance analysis and player development frameworks.
Chris last worked within Sydney Olympic FC, as U20s Assistant Coach, while also leading youth development as Head Coach of the U11's JDL.
His role will focus on coaching and player development as well as tactical analysis, match day insights, and bridging the pathway between youth and senior football.
Previously, Chris also has held coaching and analysis roles with UNSW FC, Inner West Hawks, and Rosebank College, as well as working as an Intern Performance Analyst with the Central Coast Mariners A-League First Team, where he gained exposure to elite professional standards, video analysis workflows, and high performance environments.
Known for his detail oriented approach, Chris blends traditional coaching values with modern data, video, and tactical analysis. He is passionate about long term player development, talent identification, and helping player development.
This appointment encompasses the new direction and re-growth of Parramatta City FC.

Club Statement - Season 2025
To all players, coaches, manager, families, and supporters,
We regret to announce that due to the wet weather and unplayable ground conditions over this weekend, the regular football season has officially concluded with a final series to be played over the next 3 weeks.
There may be a small window of opportunity for some mini roo games to be played but, we will duly advise if this is the case.
With some fields waterlogged and unplayable, and no clear window for rescheduling, this decision was made by the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association.
This decision was not taken lightly by the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association but there was not enough available grounds to play all the remaining competition games.
Whilst we appreciate many of you were looking forward to one last game – some chasing a finals spot, or just playing one more game.
While it is disappointing to end the regular season this way, we want to acknowledge the incredible effort, commitment, and sportsmanship shown by everyone involved throughout the year.
Despite the challenges, we are proud of what our club has achieved both on and off the field.
We thank you all for your understanding and continued support and being part of the Parramatta City FC family.
We will provide further updates shortly regarding finals, presentation day (20 Sept), and any off-season activities.

VALE: Michael Briigs
It is truly with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Michael
Briggs late last week.
Michael served as the G&DSFA Secretary from 1995 and then as our first General Manager from 2007 until he retired in 2018. For these decades he was a tireless friend and advocate for grassroots football.
Michael also served our club as the NSW State League 1st Grade Manager and also coached a number of mini roo teams for a number of seasons.
To his wife Kay, son Damian and daughter Melissa we send our condolences.
May his memory be eternal.

During the normal winter football season where weather is a factor, the status of a playing fields are updated by 2:30pm on weekdays and before 7:00am on weekends.
If the field is closed there will be NO TRAINING and/or GAMES.

Our club will CELEBRATE its 50th
anniversary in 2024..!!!
Fifty years is a great milestone for any
organisation, especially one of volunteers. We want to acknowledge the
Parramatta City Football Club for its pending 50th anniversary in 2024. This
great and iconic club, which we are all very proud to represent started in 1974
as Greek based football (soccer) club in Parramatta.
The organisation faced
an abundance of challenges in the early years, one of which was the
language barriers, the lack of infrastructure in the Parramatta precinct,
operating under a strict budget and committed volunteers. But the dedication of
a few good men and women saw the club nurture and grow to meet the needs of our
local community and footballing family.
As with any growth, success quickly followed
and the club became a major contributor to game and our community, with
multiple teams in State League and Grassroots local competitions. Like many
clubs in the seventies, the football club was symbolic of community care and a
place of gathering for young men, boys and girls who came from, in some cases,
challenged social backgrounds and conditions.
Nowadays, the club operates with a small
number of teams with the next generation of dedicated volunteers. Research
tells us , we are one of 4 Greek rooted clubs still playing grassroots football
in Sydney, and the oldest. (Earlwood Wanderers, Hurstville City Minatours and
only recently, Cooks River FC)
Almost fifty years ago the goals of the
(Parramatta Hellas, Western Districts Hellas, Parramatta City Sporting Club)
Parramatta City Football Club was to provide harmonious social and footballing
activities for its players, members and guests, and fostering the aims and
objectives of the football clubs Constitution and assist local sporting groups,
schools and charities.
These objectives remain the same today and,
amazingly, the Parramatta City Football Club continues to support these groups
over almost five decades. Everyone involved is truly the heart and soul of the
Parramatta City family and community. It provided a life time of memories,
numerous long term family relationships along with a sisterhood and brotherhood
with a zest for life. We extend our gratitude to our life members (past and
present), our supporters and the many volunteers that contributed to the
continuity of the clubs ongoing existence.
To life members, past men and women, both
current and previous committee members, members and long-term members, we say
thank you on behalf of the Parramatta City family and community.
It is for that reason that we place on record a pending happy 50th for Parramatta City Football Club Inc.
Make
absolutely no mistake, 50 years of voluntarily servicing the
community is a major achievement.!

Re-union and catch up - 30 Sept '23
On the
30th of Sept the club held a re-union game to celebrate the club’s
rich history and how wonderfully football can bring a community together. This
was made possible with a grant by Dr Andrew Charlton’s office which
allowed the club to buy full size goals to facilitate the event and hopefully
benefit the greater community to allow games to be played on fields in the off season,
trial matches and host charity events etc. Many payers returned to the field on
that day and we saw many new people interest in joining the club.
